Parents:

In the past week, two bed bugs have been discovered on campus. The origin of these pests is

unknown, as they can come from almost anywhere. Ranger ISD has already taken some precautions,

but we will take additional actions. Below are the ones that will affect students. We understand

these may be inconvenient, but we feel they are necessary steps.

● Effective immediately, students in grades 7-12 will leave their ChromeBooks on campus.

Teachers will communicate that process to the students.

● Effective immediately, students will leave bags and backpacks at home. They will come with

basic supplies and lunch boxes only. Extras such as blankets, pillows, toys, etc., as always, are

not permitted on campus.

Ranger ISD is taking additional steps to eliminate further issues. We are working with exterminators

and changing some things in the classrooms.

Our students will be able to have two guests for Thanksgiving lunch on November 15. Reservations and payments are due on October 17. Extra copies of the reservation letter are available in the offices.
