Select members from the Ranger High School band
traveled to Grandview, TX on Saturday, November 7th to
compete for the All-District Band. All of the participating band
members made a good showing. The following students made the high
school All-District band: Senior, Lauren Slaughter-4th
chair clarinet, Senior, Tommy Stevens-1st alternate
baritone, Sophomore, Hillary Brock-3rd chair baritone,
Sophomore, Heidi Crawford-2nd chair tenor saxophone, and
Sophomore, Ashley Slaughter-5th chair clarinet.
These student’s will be traveling to Glen Rose, November 14th
for an all day clinic with the concert at 7:00 p.m. in the high
school auditorium.
We also had junior high members earning
positions in the Symphonic Band and Concert Band. Symphonic Band
members will be Sage Franks, Lyndsey Slaughter, Holly Needham,
Ashley Hill,and Brock Charman. Concert Band members will be
Brittany Destro, Danielle Coffee, Christian Uhlhorn, Summer Boyd,
Jessica Eddleman, Colby LaRue, and Scott Thompson.
